Bangladesh’s 54th Victory Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm in Istanbul

The Consulate General of Bangladesh in Istanbul commemorated the 54th Victory Day of Bangladesh with dignity and heartfelt enthusiasm. The celebration was honored by the active participation of expatriate Bangladeshis living in Istanbul, along with members of the Bangladeshi Students’ & Professionals’ Association in Türkiye (BASAT).

The program began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem, messages from distinguished dignitaries, and a documentary highlighting the significance of the Great Victory Day. Mr. Hüseyin Güler, Secretary General of the Karadeniz Foundation, joined as a special guest, while the Consul General, Mr. Muhammad Mizanur Rahman, addressed the gathering as the chief guest. Several respected personalities, including renowned photographer Mr. Abir Abdullah, Daily Sabah News Editor Mr. Zakir Hossain, Syed Magfur Ahmad, Rafiqul Hasan Rafi, and young influencer Mr. Osama Bin Noor, also shared their reflections. The speakers highlighted the importance of preserving Bangladesh’s history, culture, and values while living abroad.

A special highlight of the event was the “Expatriate Voter Registration Festival,” organized by the Consulate General to assist Bangladeshi expatriates in registering to vote by mail in the upcoming national elections. The celebration turned into a warm reunion, marked by cultural performances, traditional hospitality, and the spontaneous participation of students and community members.

The program concluded with deep respect for the martyrs and the greatest sons of the nation, along with prayers for the continued peace and prosperity of Bangladesh. We remember the martyrs with profound love and gratitude. Long live Bangladesh 🇧🇩
