BASAT observes the national days of Bangladesh i.g., International Mother Language Day (21st February), Independence Day (26th March), Bengali New Year / Pohela Boishak (14th April), Victory Day (16th December), etc.
BASAT also celebrates Eids as well as organize Iftar parties, Breakfast programs, feasts, etc. Graduation ceremonies, new students’ reception, Tea parties, etc.
It frequently visits different universities and dormitories in order to build sustainable relations with the students and the administrations. Apart from that, it tries to form and maintain relations with a number of NGOs, academic institutions, and important persons.
BASAT arranges picnic, tour, barbeque, and other cultural and traditional programs to create a sense of family.
BASAT provides intensive support both online and offline regarding Turkey government and private scholarships. It helps Bangladeshi students to get admitted to various state and private universities. Without any consultancy fees, it helps Bangladeshis to get a residence permit, health insurance, and find accommodation. It has been working efficiently since its inception.
To create a healthy and enjoyable environment in our community BASAT arrange different sports activities. It aspires to motivate students in their education after a stressful & busy time.
Through traditional games and sports, students able to make quality time and enjoy their vacations.
Until now, it organized some cricket series and tournaments. It facilitated many traditional games in picnics and Eid gatherings. In the future, it is planning to organize different sports like cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, ha-du-du, and many more.
Bangladesh Students’ Association in Turkey (BASAT) has an active and transparent finance department.
Our Finance department follows the income and expenditure in a strictly transparent way. Our incomes mainly contribute by:
● Monthly donation from Executive Members and
● Occasional contribution from Advisors.
Our expenditure covers:
● Fresher’s reception and graduate’s farewell,
● Traditional, Cultural and Sports activities,
● Social engagement and so on.
Bangladesh Student Association Turkey (BASAT) organizes seminars, private lessons, and educative group activities about contemporary and important issues monthly. BASAT arranges language learning courses on Turkish, Arabic, and English quarterly every year. At the same time, BASAT hosts a Summer Educational Camp every year. In addition, BASAT coordinates book reading club and organizes quiz competitions occasionally.
The Youth thinkers Club aims to conduct intellectual activities in order to facilitate knowledge production activities, learning, sharing, and collaboration among Bangladeshi students in Turkey. To this end, it conducts regular seminar programs and discussion sessions among the students. We also conduct workshops and training sessions. The topics of these various activities include book discussions, career enhancement discussions, latest developments in the field of scholarship and academia, etc. We aim to increase collaborations among students and help in furthering knowledge.
